Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the current state of development of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and its effective use. The contribution of the tourism sector to the gross domestic product of our country and other indicators of its development were analyzed. Conclusions and recommendations on the impact of the pandemic period on the tourism sector, its negative consequences and the effective use of tourism potential are given.
